Do you have to grow your hair before?
No, quite the opposite actually. We ask you shave approximately 2 days before your appointment.
How should I prepare the area I’m getting treated?
We ask that you don’t wax the area only shave. We ask that you do not use any tanning products on your skin and stay out of the sun (on sunnier days) and not to use sunbeds! We can not treat sun burnt skin. When you are cleaning the area at home, we ask you do not use products on the treated area such as deodorant or lotions.
Does it hurt?
We let one of our laser clients answer this for us!
‘”I had been burned before on my bikini line by waxing so I was apprehensive of laser hair removal. I was extremely surprised though. You still feel it, but it definitely wasn’t as painful as waxing. It’s strange, you’re waiting for it to hurt, but it never does.”
How many treatments will I need so that my hair does not grow back
We recommend having a course of treatments (usually between 6-8) on our laser hair removal plan to achieve permanent results.
Is Laser suitable for PCOS?
If you have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and are interested in treating it with laser hair removal, it’s important to have a clear understanding of the treatment and possible results before getting started.
Many clients with PCOS achieve excellent results from laser hair removal treatment, and it can significantly improve their self-confidence. Although the results for many clients can be successful, and often life changing, they will need to continue to have the treatments on a regular basis to maintain a reduction in hair growth.
As an existing medical condition like PCOS affects the body’s hair growth, it’s impossible to guarantee a result, as increased hair growth may continue in spite of regular laser hair removal treatments.
